1960 December Cycle Times - Stan Engdahl flips his Harley-Davidson CH

Cover Photo: Flint Hills Riders Motorcycle Club Scrambles held at Cottonwood Falls fairgrounds - one near serious accident came close to marring a perfect day's racing. Marquette's Stan Engdahl found himself flat on his back with a churning Harley CH resting on his chest when the machine walked out from under him at the start of the open Final. Fortunately, Engdahl, though knocked partially unconscious was not hurt seriously, ending up gasping for breath and with a yard-long "strawberry" across his back.
