1965 U.S. Grand Prix - Mike Hailwood wins by 7 1/2 miles!





Three time World Motorcycle Champion Mike Hailwood of Oxford, England, made a one man race out of the United States Motorcycle Club's 200 kilometer Grand Prix of the U.S. for 500cc machines at the cold and windy Daytona International Speedway...

photos at right: Another Trophy for Hailwood's collection; Canadian Roger Beaumont, another Norton rider, finished a respectable third; Californian Buddy Parriot finished second behind the legendary Hailwood. Parriot rides a 500cc Norton.
