Triumph Terrier 150cc O.H.V. Wins Sweepstakes at the Dodge City, Kansas National Economy Trials with the amazing average of 152 miles per gallon. One hour, 10 min. on one quart of Mobil Gas.

Defeating 38 men, attractive 19 year old Jo Ann Bristow of Borger, Texas, rode a steady pace on her Terrier for one hour ten minutes around the Dodge City half-mile track covering 38 miles on one quart of gas for an average of 152 miles per gallon. Miss Bristow has been riding a motorcycle only 4 months, thus her spectacular victory is all the more impressive. She not only won her class but secured the best overall mileage for the sweepstakes award.

She used Mobilgas Special (the same as used by all other contestants) and a brand available at any Mobilgas station. For 76 laps (38 miles) around the track, Miss Bristow rode at an average of about 34 miles per hour.
